An RFID Bolt Seal is a tamper-evident, one-time-use electronic locking device affixed to container doors, truck cargo bays, railcar locking handles and warehouse roll-up doors. It combines the physical strength of a hardened steel bolt with an embedded RFID transponder that broadcasts a unique Electronic Product Code (EPC) to authorized scanners.

Skytrans RFID Bolt Seals operate on the UHF EPC Gen2 (ISO 18000-6C) standard — the same technology mandated for customs and border security by CBIC, EXIM regulators, and C-TPAT. Every seal is pre-programmed with a globally unique ID and linked to your shipment in our tracking portal before dispatch.

When the seal is cut or broken, the RFID signature changes permanently — any scanner at any checkpoint instantly flags a tamper event, triggering an automated alert to the shipper, receiver and customs authority.
